Bennie has extensive experience in providing business, financial and tax consulting services to owner-managed companies. His specialty areas include restaurant, hospitality, and franchising sectors, helping owners prepare business plans and financial projections for start-up and refinancing requirements. His work in the tax consulting area includes corporate reorganizations and estate/succession planning.
He worked as a sole practitioner in public practice in the Hamilton and Stoney Creek regions for over 20 years before joining DJB as the resident Partner of the Stoney Creek office in 2002.
As a part of his public service activity Bennie now serves as the President of the Canadian Italian Business Professional Association of Hamilton-Halton (CIBPA HH) on a volunteer basis and sits on the Sons of Italy Housing Corporation Board. He also served as President of the Stoney Creek Chamber of Commerce and on the Board of Villa Italia Retirement Home.
Bennie also worked as a part-time instructor in Business Studies at Mohawk College for over 20 years.
Bennie qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1983 after graduating from McMaster University in 1980 with a Bachelor of Commerce degree.
