Emily Petro

Emily joined DJB in 2021 as a Senior Staff Accountant after starting her career as a co-op student at a national firm in 2017. Emily received her CPA designation in February 2023 and was promoted to Assurance Manager in January 2025. She provides accounting and assurance services to businesses in various industries in the Niagara Region and surrounding areas. In addition to her client-facing responsibilities, Emily is heavily involved in DJB’s campus recruitment for the St. Catharines office.

Emily graduated from Brock University in 2020 with a Bachelor of Accounting (Honours) degree with First Class Standing. She then completed her Master of Accountancy degree in 2021. As part of her Bachelor’s degree, she studied in England at Aston University for a semester.

Emily grew up in the Niagara Region where she played competitive hockey. She continues to stay active through golf and other sports. As part of her service to the community, Emily currently serves as the Treasurer of the YWCA Niagara.
