Ben Alexander

Ben Alexander serves as Chief Operating Officer at DJB and is an advisor to DJB’s Executive Committee. In this role, he is responsible for executing the Firm’s long-term strategy while managing day-to-day operations across DJB’s regional offices.

With over 25 years of management consulting and executive leadership experience, Ben brings a strong track record of driving operational excellence and growth. Prior to joining DJB, he served as Chief Operating Officer for the regional office of a global accounting firm and was responsible for the development and execution of a multi-year strategic plan.  He began his career as a management consultant with a focus on Business Performance Management (BPM) and Business Process Reengineering (BPR) within the Financial Services sector.  Having advised banking clients across North America, he later advanced to the role of Associate Partner, where he led the BPM Practice in Canada for the consulting division of a global technology organization.  Ben transitioned from management consulting into senior leadership roles, beginning with his appointment as Head of Enterprise Technology for the capital markets and investment banking division of a “Big 5” Canadian Bank. From 2012 onwards, he assumed the role as Chief Operating Officer, where he guided both an IT startup and a not-for-profit organization through periods of growth and transformation.

Ben graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Toronto in 1996 and a Master of Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business (York University) in 1999. He earned his Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation in 2002 and earned his Project Management Professional (PMP) certification in 2006.

In addition to his professional career, he has served in various advisory capacities to local not-for-profit organizations and is the former Board Chair at a local private school in Alliston, ON.

In his spare time, he likes to golf, play tennis, and spend time with his family.
