Dorothy Warren joined DJB in November 2021 as a Client Service Associate covering a maternity leave but agreed to stay, taking on a lead role in Special Projects for the Wealth Management Team. Dorothy is semi-retired and is making the slow transition to retirement. Her specialties include, project management, cash & treasury management, corporate investment services, digital banking & payment solutions. She was the Business Lead on the launch of the first chip-based cards in Canada, as well as on many other development and enhancement projects involving digital banking products.
Dorothy brings a wealth of experience, including 45 years in financial services, 4 years with consumer finance companies, 11 years in retail banking, and 30 years of Commercial & Business banking.
Over her career, Dorothy successfully completed several Treasury Professional courses at York University as well as the Great Manager program through Gallup and Consultative Selling, Conceptual Selling, and Sales Excellence courses through Miler Heiman.
She has also been called upon as a guest speaker to share her expertise at such events as Payments Canada Annual Summit, Central 1 Credit Union’s Bi-Annual Lenders Conference, and to give a local Public School Commencement Address.
Dorothy stays active in the community with her involvement as Music Librarian at St. Christopher’s Church and as past Chair of the United Way Corporate Steering Committee at Meridian Credit Union for 10 years until 2020.
Dorothy likes to spend time with her family; this includes her 2 kids, 3 step kids, 6 grandkids, and 3 cats. She also likes to play guitar and sing in the choir at Church. Other interests of Dorothy’s include crocheting, sewing, home renos, gardening, swimming, and enjoying her backyard.
