Gary Kornya

Gary just completed his 10th year as a member of the Firm’s Executive Committee. In this role, he helped to set and shape the strategic direction of the Firm, along with servicing his clients.

Gary practices in the St. Catharines office, providing audit, accounting, financial consulting, advisory, and succession services to businesses and their owners. Prior to becoming a Chartered Professional Accountant, he worked in marketing, advertising, and the restaurant industry.

When not in the office, Gary enjoys doing puzzles, spending time outdoors, and visiting many of the local wineries with his family.

Gary was the Chair of the Firm’s Technical Standards Committee from 2002 to 2017 (a member from 1997 to 2019), assumed a role on the Firm’s Executive Committee in 2015, and was chair of the Executive Committee from 2018 to 2021. He has also been a member of numerous other Committees, including Manufacturing, Not-for-Profit, and Construction.

Gary graduated from the Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario in 1985 and joined the Firm in 1990.
