New Senior Human Resources Consultant

Please join our Firm in congratulating Fran Bonomi on her recent promotion to Senior Human Resources Consultant.

Fran is a Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) and holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Human Resources Management from Niagara College, as well as an Honours Bachelor of Health Sciences from Western University. She has successfully completed the Workplace Investigations Training and Certificate Program conducted by Bernardi Human Resource Law in consultation with Human Resources Professional Association (HRPA). Fran assists a wide variety of clients in many different industries and niches with their HR projects and initiatives as part of the Human Resources Advisory Team.

Fran is an active member of the Niagara community, strongly believing in serving the community she lives in.  She is the current Head Coach of the Brock Women’s Lacrosse team.

2022 Successful CFE Writers

Please join our Firm in congratulating Emily Devenish, Anoj Fernando, Kyle Hergott, Spencer Lee, Michael Lloyd, Oksana Polischuck, Brett Schenk, Laura Smith, and Sierra Varga for successfully passing their 2022 Common Final Evaluation (CFE). The CFE is the final educational requirement leading to the Chartered Professional Accountant designation.

New Partner

In January 2008, Nick joined DJB as a co-op student at the Hamilton office and became full time in 2011. He was promoted to Manager in January 2015, Senior Manager in 2019, and was admitted to partnership in 2023. Nick provides assurance and tax services to owner-managed businesses in the Hamilton area, working with clients in various industries, including real estate development, construction, and professionals.

In 2010, Nick graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Accounting degree from Brock University and obtained his Chartered Professional Accountant designation in 2012.

New Managers

PJ Cole

In 2016, PJ was admitted to Beta Gamma Sigma at Brock University, he completed his Bachelor of Accounting (Co-op) in 2018, and Master of Accountancy in 2019 from Brock University. He obtained his CPA designation in early 2020. PJ is currently enrolled in the Chartered Professional Accountants Canada’s In-Depth Tax Program. He joined DJB as a co-op student in 2015, became full-time in the fall of 2019, and was promoted to Manager, Tax in January 2023.

Michelle DeLuca

Michelle has an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Politics and Business, as well as a Bachelor of Education, specializing in adult education. She has completed the Workplace Investigations Certificate Program through Bernardi Human Resource Law LLP. Michelle was promoted to Manager in January 2023.

Paige Haggett

Paige is a Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) and holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Human Resources Management from Sheridan College, as well as a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Toronto. She is an active member of the Human Resources Professional Association (HRPA) in Halton region. Paige has also successfully completed the Workplace Investigations Training and Certificate Program conducted by Bernardi Human Resource Law in consultation with Human Resources Professional Association (HRPA). She was promoted to Manager in January 2023.

Danielle Vander Vegte

Danielle joined DJB as a co-op student in 2016 while completing her Bachelor of Accounting degree from Brock University in December 2018. She graduated with honours and was offered full-time at DJB in January 2019. Danielle also completed her Master of Accountancy at Carleton University in 2020 and received her CPA Designation in 2021. She was promoted to Manager, Assurance in January 2023.
