Ryan was admitted to partnership in 2019. He leads the cross-border tax practice and helps simplify cross-border tax and accounting intricacies for individuals and business owners. He also handles cross-border structure planning, inbound and outbound tax issues, and U.S. personal and corporate tax compliance. Ryan obtained a Bachelor of Administrative and Commercial Studies – Finance and Accounting degree from the University of Western Ontario and received his Chartered Professional Accountant designation in 2007.
Ryan has completed the Partners, Directors, and Senior Officers Course (PDO) and the Chief Financial Officer Qualifying Examination (CFO) offered through the Canadian Securities Institute. Over the past decade, he has held different positions in public and private practice and has assisted individuals and businesses with a wide variety of tax and accounting needs, including cross-border tax planning, small business compensation arrangements, as well as financial projections, and cash flow modeling. Ryan has experience in providing back-office accounting support and has assumed accounting roles on the management side, including part-time Controller and Chief Financial Officer.
Ryan enjoys spending his free time with his wife, Lauren, and their two young sons, Charlie and Blake. He is an avid hockey player, skier, and movie enthusiast. Ryan serves as the Treasurer of the Halton Down Syndrome Association.
