New Senior Human Resources Consultant

Please join our Firm in congratulating Erin Dubecki on her recent promotion to Senior Human Resources Consultant.

Erin holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from Brock University with a concentration in Human Resources, as well as a Compensation Management Specialist (CMS) certificate from the International Foundation of Employee Benefits Plan. Erin has also successfully completed the Workplace Investigations Training and Certificate Program conducted by Bernardi Human Resource Law in consultation with Human Resources Professional Association (HRPA).

As the Human Resources Senior Consultant at DJB, Erin provides guidance and expertise to ensure clients are meeting legislative requirements and advises on useful HR strategies and policies, as well as being involved with internal human resource matters.

Erin has over ten years of generalist experience, supporting a variety of human resources initiatives. She brings with her broad knowledge in all areas of human resources, including recruitment, training, compensation and benefits, policy development, and employee relations.

2021 Successful CFE Writers

Ismail Basic

In 2017, Ismail graduated from Brock University with a Bachelor of Accounting degree, which led him to complete his Master of Accounting in 2018. He began his career at DJB in 2014 as a co-op student and began working full time in 2018 as a Senior Assurance Accountant. Ismail was promoted to Manager in January 2022.

Kate Chiera

Kate graduated from Brock University in 2018 with a Bachelor of Accounting (Honours) degree with First Class Standing. She began her career with DJB in 2015 as a co-op student. Kate received her CPA, CA designation in 2020 and was promoted to Assurance Manager in January 2022.

Angela Ironberg

Angela qualified as a Chartered Professional Accountant in 2015, after graduating from Brock University with an Honours Bachelor of Accounting Degree in 2012. She completed the CICA In-Depth Tax program in 2018. Angela joined DJB in November 2018 and was promoted to Manager in January 2022.

Kaitlyn Joaquin

Kaitlyn obtained her Bachelor of Accounting (Honours) degree from Brock University in 2019. She joined DJB in 2015 as a co-op student in the St. Catharines office and became full time in 2019 and was promoted to Manager in 2022.

Alexis MacCallum

Alexis holds a degree in Bachelor of Business Administration Honours with Accounting and Co-operative Options with Distinction and a Graduate Diploma in Accounting from Wilfrid Laurier University (2017).  She joined DJB’s Hamilton office in the fall of 2020 as a Senior Associate and was promoted to Manager in January 2022.

Elisha Rogers

Elisha received her Ontario College Diploma in Business, majoring in Accounting, from Sheridan College in 2009. She joined DJB in December 2019 as an Accounting Technician for the Business Support Services department. She was promoted to Manager in January 2022.

Alisha Kowalski

Alisha qualified as a Chartered Professional Accountant in 2012, after graduating from Brock University with an Honours Bachelor of Accounting degree in 2008.  She joined DJB as a co-op student in 2005 and became full time in 2008.  She was promoted to Manager in 2016 and Senior Manager in 2022.

Cory Prince

Cory received his Chartered Professional Accountant designation in April 2014. He has completed the Chartered Professional Accountants Canada’s In-Depth Tax course in July 2017. Cory joined DJB as a Tax Accountant in February 2015 and was promoted to Tax Manager in January 2018. In 2022, Cory was promoted to Senior Manager.

Dragana (Anna) Trajkovic

Anna graduated from McMaster University with Honours Bachelor of Commerce in 2008 and received her Chartered Professional Accountant designation in 2011. She joined DJB in March 2020 as a Manager and was promoted to Senior Manager in 2022.

Lynne Vidal

Lynne qualified as a Chartered Professional Accountant in 2001, after graduating from Brock University’s Co-op Accounting program, with honours. She joined DJB in 2019 as a Manager and was promoted to Senior Tax Manager in 2022.

New Principal

Please join our Firm in congratulating Christina Atkinson on her recent promotion to Principal.

Christina Atkinson is a Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) with over 25 years of senior HR and leadership experience. She holds a Master of Arts degree in Psychology, the Human Resources Management designation, and is a Certified Executive Coach (CEC).  Christina is a member of the Niagara chapter of the HRPA, as well as the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) in the US.

Christina is a strong people leader who combines experience, a keen business acumen, and best practices to create solutions for people and business leaders to help drive performance. Her breadth and depth of experience in HR has led to demonstrated success in developing and maintaining partnerships with leaders to link HR initiatives to business objectives and corporate strategies. Christina’s experience includes work in corporate and not-for-profit environments, including healthcare, manufacturing, retail, distribution, transportation, developmental services, hospitality, and financial services.

As the Principal, Human Resources Advisory, Christina oversees both the internal HR department and the HR Advisory Services practice, providing leadership and direction to DJB senior management on all HR matters and leading a team of professionals to provide the full range of HR services for external clients.
